Walt Maddox, Mayor of Tuscaloosa

We are proud to announce that we have our very own Mayor, Walt Maddox, come to speak to us at our meeting on April 17.

Born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Mayor Maddox is serving his fifth term as Tuscaloosa’s Mayor.  Mayor Maddox has done an incredible job and service for the City of Tuscaloosa, including leading the City during the aftermath of the devastating tornado that killed 51 people and destroyed at least 12% of our City on April 27, 2011.  Because of his leadership skills, he became a senior fellow in the Harvard University Program on Crisis Leadership.

We gladly claim Mayor Maddox as one of our own, as he was formerly the Executive Director of Personnel for the Tuscaloosa City Schools.
