In this engaging session, our speaker will share how Career Connect leverages innovative platforms, including tailored websites, social media, and interactive kiosks, to reach job seekers—from high school students to justice-impacted individuals—and guide them toward training, support services, and meaningful employment. You’ll learn how this program partners with businesses to meet workforce needs while breaking down barriers for those traditionally disconnected from opportunity.
After a 12-year career in Broadcast Journalism, Jay moved into office management/ human resources in 2007, holding roles such as hiring manager and HR recruiter. Currently he serves as West Alabama Works Lead Navigator for Career Connect. West Alabama Works is the workforce development arm of the West Alabama Chamber of commerce.
